The Window is a series of visual exploration with color gradients and compositions.

In 2020 pandemic lockdown, my days were confined indoor like many. A northwest facing window was the only real physical channel I had with the outside world, and it became a ritual and escape for me to stare out of that window and look at the sky.

I started to document each day’s unique palette of Northern California sky in a tiny square. Some at dusk and dawn, some at high noon, some during or after a wild fire. Our lives came to a halt, but the sky never stopped mixing unique and breathtaking colors. It gave me moments of hope to look forward to another day.
